What you'll do in the role
Are you a Product Analyst / Manager who thrives on data-driven insights, loves solving real customer problems, and excels at bringing ideas to life?
Quashed.co.nz is shaking up the insurance world in New Zealand, and we're looking for a key player to join our small but growing team.
With the likes of NZ listed company Turners Group, government-backed NZGCP and Icehouse Ventures behind us, we're in a prime position for growth, and you'll be instrumental in shaping our product, driving our mission, and directly impacting our success.
We're not about big teams; we're about the right team. We're looking for a select few who are passionate, proactive, and ready to make a significant impact from day one. If you're someone who can think strategically, plan logically, execute diligently, and deliver high-quality results on time, then we want to hear from you.
This isn't a sit-back-and-delegate role. As our Product Analyst / Manager, you'll have a broad and hands-on scope, stretching across every aspect of our product, from initial concept to ongoing support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving New Product Development: Identifying opportunities, defining new features, and leading the charge in bringing innovative solutions to life for our customers.
- Optimising Current Product: Continuously improving existing features and user experiences. You'll use data and customer feedback to enhance our product, with a sharp focus on boosting sales and conversion rates.
- Maintaining & Supporting: Ensuring our existing platform runs smoothly, addressing issues, and even diving into customer support when needed to deeply understand user pain points and find solutions.
- Responsible for Product: Working closely with leadership to define and communicate our product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment across the business.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analysing data, researching the market, and deeply understanding our customers to inform your product thinking and strategic decisions.
You'll be well-versed in using tools like Excel, including Lookups and Pivot Tables, to extract meaningful insights.
- Designing & Developing Solutions: Translating customer needs into clear product requirements. You'll be comfortable wireframing ideas and working hand-in-hand with UX/UI designers, software engineers, and marketers to bring concepts and ideas to life, with a keen eye for great design and user experience.
- Managing the Product Lifecycle: Overseeing products from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring smooth and efficient development processes.
- Analysing & Iterating: Using data and insights to identify areas for improvement, quickly testing hypotheses, and continuously enhancing our product based on real-world performance.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Working effectively with engineering, marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused approach.
Who you are
